Why I’m Going On The World Race

Hey everyone!

I’m Grace (for those of you who don’t know me yet), and I’m excited to share that I’ll be going on a mission trip to Guatemala! This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while, and it’s finally happening! I’ll be heading there in June 2025 for a month with World Race. I can’t wait to see how God moves throughout this journey! ✨

Here’s a bit about me! I’m originally from Aurora, CO and keep finding myself coming back to the Denver area. My family and community mean so much to me, and I love spending time with them — whether we travel to new places or head into the mountains for an adventure. 🏔

From 2022-2023, I went through one of the most challenging seasons of my life. During that time, I found myself feeling lost, suffering from crippling anxiety, and searching for meaning and purpose. It was through those struggles that I experienced God’s presence in a way I had never known before. He showed me an immense amount of love that I didn’t know was possible. In the midst of hardship, I grew closer to Him, and that deepened relationship completely transformed my life.

Since then, the anxiety has completely went away, truly showing me the power that is in Jesus’ name. My passion has also grown for sharing the gospel with others through my testimony, kindness, compassion, and an abundance of love. I believe that serving others—whether through small acts of kindness or deeper, more intentional support—is a powerful way to reflect God’s love. I’m also passionate about learning from different cultures and understanding the unique needs of others, and I truly believe this mission trip will be a life-changing experience for both me and those we serve.

Anyone who knows me understands my heart for children and families, and this mission offers the perfect opportunity to put those passions into action. I look forward to building relationships, offering physical, emotional, and spiritual support, and learning from the local communities we serve. I am hopeful that through this trip, we can make a lasting impact, and I am excited to see how God will move in and through all of us. ✝️
