Since being on this missions trip it’s been so cool to see how God has used me to be his hands and feet. To help others, to bring so much love and joy to all of the kiddos and our ministry hosts, and share the gospel in unexpected ways with the community. I’m so grateful for all of these sweet moments I have experienced!

Something that was a surprise to see was the way God would use me behind the scenes when it comes to leading and pouring into the women on the squad. That part of the mission has been just as powerful, and it’s stretched and grown me in ways I didn’t expect.

It’s become really clear that one of the biggest things I’m being asked to do right now is to show up for the squad. To pray with them, encourage them, speak truth over them, and help them grow while they are here pouring into the community. And I’ve loved it so much!!

This trip has opened my eyes to something I didn’t even know I’d be this passionate about: leadership and discipleship. I have always had a huge heart for kids and of course them being one of the greatest joys God has blessed us with 🥲 but there’s something really special about walking alongside other women, helping them realize who they are in Christ, and watching them step into boldness.

I’ve had multiple people tell me that I’m a strong, natural leader, which is wild because for the longest time I didn’t really believe that about myself. But now I can and I feel God confirming it in many ways.

Also… on June 13th I was chatting on the side lines of the soccer field and took a soccer ball to the face and ended up with a concussion 😬 So I’ve been on forced bed rest for the past week. It’s wild though to see how God used that stillness. With everything else paused, all this stuff started rising to the surface: about leadership, calling, rest, and the kind of impact I want to have moving forward. Many people on the squad have been sick or having hard times and it has been fulfilling to rest then be able to pour into them when my mind feels good to. This is a different way of serving that I didn’t think of before coming, but something I absolutely love!

The concussion’s been rough and healing has taken longer than I thought, but God has still found ways to bring good out of it.

This season has stretched me in the best ways. It’s been full of surprises, clarity, and even a soccer ball to the head and finger but somehow, even the setbacks are turning into stepping stones.

A huge thanks to my support system back home for helping me through the hard days this week ❤️🫠
